Date to come

There are a lot of little quirks about me that are sometimes hard to justify, yet, I do my best.

One being my inability to stick to what I say, mainly speaking about conversing with Ex-Boy. Yeah, remember that resolution? I've failed already. I found myself instant messaging him out of boredom. But I do realize this must stop.

It can't be healthy to let this one 8 month relationship to extend awkwardly for over a year. At some point one must move on. That point is now.

The new neighbor guy- Lets call him... ohh Kris? Yes, Kris. Well, Kris and I are going to have a stay-in date tonight. It will consist of season 1 of Entourage, and that's it.

I'm setting rules for myself this time. I've jumped into this kind of thing before, going way too fast, and we all know how that turned out (read: Neighbor boy [the original]).

Rule 1: I've just met this guy, therefore there is no reason to kiss him just yet. That would be moving too fast. No matter how much I want to.

Rule 2: No sleeping over. I don't care if my bed gets lit on fire and his bed is the only one available, and he offers to sleep on the couch- NO SLEEPING OVER.

Rule 3: I'm getting to know him. Thus meaning, I don't know him. No letting my guard down.

Rule 4: The second I find out he's a player, I'm done. I've had enough of those and look where it's gotten me (read: Ex boy, The Let Down, Neighbor boy, Summer Filing)

I know this sound ridiculous- but if I don't set these rules for myself, it'll just end badly.

Post on date 1 to come tomorrow.

What Other Kind of Trouble can I get Myself Into?

Hmm.  Where to start, where to start?

Well, it is now winter break.  I was home for a day or two, just to get my beloved laptop fixed and pick up my pup.  Last night I decided to make the venture back up to East Lansing with the darling Penny Lane.  It was snowing, wet, and rainy.  Not fun.

I pulled up to my apartment around 6:45-7ish.  I brought penny up to my room then went back down to carry all of my stuff, which I had a lot because of Penny's crate.  When I got up there I opened the door and the two roommates that are still here were setting up for a party.  Great, I thought, this is going to be stressful.

As I was unloading my car, another car pulled up and parked next to mine.  A guy got out of it...a cute guy.  He started to walk inside but then turned back around.  "Hey, do you need help carrying anything?"

I have to say...I was shocked.  It's not often that guys pull a gentleman move on me.  At first I said no, but before he walked away I changed my mind and said yes.  Penny's crate is a bitch to carry up 3 flights of stairs, afterall.

So we chit chatted for a minute as we carried my stuff up.  When we got to my door I opened it, he came in to put penny's crate down, and I introduced him to the roomies, and invited him to the party (completely not expecting him to come).

Somewhere in between all of this I found out he's my neighbor...great.  ANOTHER neighbor boy.  We won't give him a name yet because we don't know where this will go.

Lets just say, he spit some mad game, but I resisted.  I've made that mistake once already.  I did, however, give him my number.

Oh and also-  the original Neighbor Boy came over to the party because my dumb ass roommate decided to invite him.  I was on the new guy's team and he was on a team with one of my friends.  Let me tell you- the two neighbor boys were going at it- verrrrry competitive.

Fuck. My. Life.

I was so wrong.

Remember how I said that nothing more would probably ever come of Neighbor Boy and I? I was wrong. I was so so wrong.

Here's the scene:
We're at his apartment (2.5 feet away from my apartment) and everyone is smashed. People are making out left and right, Zumi Zumi is going on consistently in the kitchen (drinking game), all the "cool" kids have congregated outside to smoke. Neighbor boy needs to go help people find his apartment and thinks it's totally cool to drive his motorcycle. Myself, being the awesome hero of the night decides to duke it out with him and not let him ride his bike. I won, of course, and I walked with him to pick up his friends.

On the walk:
We start hashing it out about "what happened" how he interpreted the fact that I told him that I was scared of getting into another shitty relationship, and wanted to take it slow, as this chick doesn't know what she wants, run for the hills. Apparently, on the date he took me on as well- he said- I looked like shit- as if I had just came from the Gym. My clothes were too average, and my hair looked like crap...sound like an asshole? Perfect! Apparently thats my type.

CUT TO THE APARTMENT.

Roomie B drunkenly states he wants Taco Bell. Myself, thinking that Taco Bell is an awesome idea, volunteers to drive. Then gets her keys taken away and gets into a screaming fight with Neighbor Boy and Roomie B.

I decide to go to bed, put my PJs on and Neighbor Boy texts me. Next thing I know I've invited him over and we drunkenly make out.

Hate to say it (no, I really don't hate to say it) but it's ending here- fucker said I looked like shit on our date- he literally only gave me 5 minutes to get ready.

The end.

Neighbor Boy, Cosi, Accounting, and Obama

Okay. I guess my last post wasn't very fair of me to introduce a new character of my life without going into any kind of detail. Neighbor Boy is exactly that- my neighbor. We met when I was visiting my apartment before I moved in and I saw him with his massive beast of a puppy. We struck up conversation and he invited me to a party of his.

Skip to Welcome week when we party together a couple times, start to drunkenly make-out (read: hook up), kind of date-ish for two weeks, and then stop due to a string of events that pissed me off.

Well, we haven't exactly made up, but we are on better terms than we were. It's kind of at this awkward, "I'm still mad at you because you didn't give me the apology I think I deserved, yet I don't want to be a total douche bag" Stage.

So now that you've been introduced to another one of the many awkward flings I've had- you'll have a good foundation just in case any other stories come of it (which, at this point, I'm doubting they will).

In other news:

Recently, every Wednesday, I've been going out to dinner with one of my friends (she happens to be roommates with Ex Boy, but I love her to death).  Well tonight we decided to hit up a cosy (no pun intended) little cafe type restaurant called Cosi.  It's absolutely adorable.  We shared a flat bread BBQ Chicken pizza and to top it off had s'mores for dessert.  They even gave us a little burner thing that they ignited with a match and all.  If you've never been there I suggest you try it- it's not too expensive for two people ($25).

Also:
I'm at the library right now procrastinating my studies.  I know, I know, I should get back to work, but for some reason Blogger seems so much more appealing than studying for my Accounting exam that is to take place on Friday.

ALSO:

BIG news!  Barrack Obama is coming to MSU TOMORROW!  I will be attending.  All I will say is this:  People are allowed to have opinions.  Me, I'm an independent when it comes to politics and I'm more fond of McCain than Obama, I will admit.  However, I believe it's important to hear both sides and make an informed decision, and since I get to have the opportunity to do so, right from the horse's mouth, why not? I'm very fond of Biden, and I feel he would make an outstanding VP, Palin- not so much.  All I know, the next four years are going to be interesting, regardless of which party is in power.

Bus Rides on Campus and Family Portraits

Alright Kiddies-
Lets start with my bus ride this afternoon to class. For one, I live a good 20 minute bus ride off campus (about 5-7 miles), which leaves me lots of time to people watch. Today Neighbor Boy, who I'll elaborate on another day, and I happened to be leaving at the same time so we took the same bus into campus. Well as I sat down I noticed something weird. There were a bunch of open seats, however some girl (I'd say 19 or 20) was standing up by the bus driver. As I was riding the bus I couldn't help but overhear their conversation.

This mid-40's, I'd say, bus driver was spitting mad game at this chick. Full on flirting. I was waiting for him to take her right then and there. Normally, this would just cause for good entertainment (it was), but the driver kept running lights and skipping stops! I just wonder if he's ever really going to get a change to "read her paper" she wrote last night...

Moving on, when I moved in with A,B, and C (refer to roommates label), we had planned on painting one of the walls in the family room and hanging pictures. Well that never happened. Instead, one boring evening, me and B decided to "decorate". This involved one paper plate, markers, and resulted in a "family portrait" AKA stick figures of each of the roomies with big smiles + a shitty drawing of Penny, my pup. I was looking at it today, and I must say, it is quite awesome. However, it's so lonely!! What other "paper plate-esque" things can I make to spice up our family room?

Give me ideas people!

(P.S. sorry for such a lame post- my creativity has been cut short with me having been so busy studying for midterms :-/)
